「朝聖之行」是個全面性跨領域的裝置及表演藝術經驗，利用演員、偶戲、多媒體、裝置藝術、以及現場音樂同步演出，原創設計的影像將觀眾帶入澳門新視覺和聽覺震憾。「朝聖之行」演出地點將在澳門媽祖閣邊的媽閣船塢進行，這場表演示專門為了這1000多平方公尺的大場地設計，表演場景會在海上以及將要拆掉的船塢。
現場澳門的夜景、海水來創造本戲的神奇背景。被砍頭的葡萄牙總督、蛋家人、畫家等角色一起創造這齣戲獨特的故事。「朝聖之行」以澳門為背景，重新詮釋人類最深層的慾望，人在面對生活中無法接受或克服的事實：死亡、分離、慾望等都會承受痛苦。

This unique play is
especially commissioned by the 2004 Macau Fringe Festival and
produced by the TTT Puppet Centre from Taipei, in cooperation
with a team of international artists from Macau, France, Holland,
Taiwan and Italy. The performance includes live music, theatre,
Chinese opera, film, puppet theatre and takes place inside one
of the most spectacular venues of Macau the Doca de D. Carlos,
a old dry-dock at the seaside right opposite the famous A-Ma
Temple. The performance will take us on a fascinating voyage
through the past and present of Macau.
The play starts with the funeral of the father of a young Tanka
boat girl and takes us on a dramatic voyage through her life,
and that of Macau's history, in search of divine consolation.
All the unique multi-ethnic qualities of the city are represented
in the language of the show, the action, the music and the poetry.
Actors, puppets, musicians, multi-media and the Coro Perosi
choir together create a drama that takes place on both water
and land.
